Funding Your Education: A Guide to Government Scholarships for Indian Students

 The Government of India offers various scholarships for students after 9th class (i.e., for students in 10th, 11th, and 12th classes). Here are some of the scholarships provided by the Indian government for students in these grades:

  3. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students: This scholarship is given to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society. The scholarship amount varies from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per annum, depending on the course of study.

  4. Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students: This scholarship is provided to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) who are studying at the post-matriculation level. The scholarship amount varies from Rs. 750 to Rs. 350 per month, depending on the type of course.

  5. Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Students: This scholarship is given to minority students (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Zoroastrians) studying in Class 1 to Class 10. The scholarship amount varies from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 6000 per annum, depending on the class of study.
